The Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid got away with an obvious penalty in the sixth game of the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Stars last night.

While the Oilers managed to beat the Stars for the fourth time against the Stars, clinching their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals, something happened in the game that makes people believe the refs helped Edmonton win that crucial game.
Ever since the playoffs started, officiating has been a hot topic in the NHL. Especially in the Oilers games, where we often saw refs making decisions that helped Connor McDavid.
It happened again last night. During the game, McDavid was fighting for the puck, when he closed his hand on it to throw it away. Of course, no penalty was called on the play.
We can clearly see what he did in the following video:
"Looks like McDavid got away with closing his hand on the puck 😬"

Even if McDavid is probably the best player in the world, giving him advantages doesn't seem fair.
He obviously has some privileges related to his status of exceptional player. However, referees shouldn't take that inco account when they're officiating a game.
The player still managed to score an incredible goal, early in the game to give his team the lead:
If the referees hadn't given him so many advantages, one wonders if he would be in the Finals today...
Do you think referees are biased with Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers?
