This evening a new report has come out confirming that former Edmonton Oilers forward Moe Lemay has passed away at the age of 62. A report has come out this afternoon confirming the unfortunate passing of former Edmonton Oilers forward Maurice 'Moe' Lemay unexpectedly at the age of 62. Moe Lemay had a successful NHL career with multiple stops in Vancouver as well as a stint in Edmonton before heading overseas. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/hockey_samurai/status/1848351238447874140'> </a></blockquote></div> <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/ACHockeyHistory/status/1848090810849603910'> </a></blockquote></div> Moe Lemay began his NHL career with the Vancouver Canucks after being selected in the 5th round of the 1981 NHL Draft. He would then spend the first 5 and a half seasons in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks before being sent to the Edmonton Oilers. Moe Lemay would spend 2 seasons in the Edmonton Oilers organization playing a total of 14 games in the NHL and tallying 3 points. The rest of his tenure with the Oilers would be spent in the AHL with the Nova Scotia Oilers where he was a stud putting up 39 points in 39 games. During the 1987 Stanley Cup Playoffs Moe Lemay played 9 games tallied 3 points and 11 penalty minutes. Moe Lemay would have a very successful career in Germany from 1990 all the way until 2000 when he would eventually retire.
