The entire NHL world has had a tough time since the passing of Johnny Gaudreau, and now the Philadelphia Flyers have shown a kindness with their latest move.

Despite never playing for 30 of the NHL teams during his career, the passing of Johnny Gaudreau has hit everyone in the league hard, with every single team having a player, coach or an executive that was touched or inspired at some point by No. 13. The tributes have continued flowing for Johnny Hockey, one of the most beloved players in the league, and now the Philadelphia Flyers have reached out in a fantastic way, inviting Guy Gaudreau, Johnny's father to partake in practice.

Given the incredibly hard time the entire family is having, this is a touching move from John Tortorella, Danny Briere and the Flyers organization, as it gives Guy something to focus on beyond the terrible tragedy that has occurred to his family.

This is such a simple act of kindness from the team that didn't need to be made by the Flyers, but shows the type of people they have in the organization, as they did so without having any connection to Johnny as a player, showing that the NHL truly is a family. It's still going to be a very tough time for the family, especially once the regular season begins in the next few weeks, but with so much support and love around the league, it's safe to say that they will always be cherished as a family around the NHL.
