Not much was happening in the second period of the Toronto Maple Leafs preseason opener until Ryan Reaves and Donovan Sebrango dropped the gloves and went at it, with Reaves coming out on top.

Sure, it's just a preseason game, but you could feel the competitiveness in the air as everyone wanted to win.

New head coach Craig Berube was already getting a taste of the team dynamic after a shaky start, especially when William Nylander got caught in no man's land and Jan Jenik put the Ottawa Senators up 1-0 in the first period.

But that fight seemed to light a fire under the Buds-Matthew Knies quickly tied things up on a feed from Mitch Marner.

Unfortunately, that momentum didn't last long, as Cole Reinhardt made it 2-1 for Ottawa soon after.

Still, it was awesome to see Reaves throwing down. What's a Leafs game without some excitement and a fight right? Welcome back hockey!
