We've been talking about it for a while now: Quebecer Joël Teasdale was not to return to the Canadiens after Kent Hughes failed to make him an offer. Until today, he was still unemployed, but we've just learned that he's signed with the Iowa Wild for one season. Joël has played his entire career in Quebec, and this will be his first time in a 100% English-speaking market. We're really happy for him and wish him the best of luck in this new challenge. Let's hope he finds a way to impress the Minnesota Wild enough to get his chance in the NHL.

A new start with the Iowa Wild for Quebecer, Joël Teasdale! pic.twitter.com/qadqb9rzAr- RDS (@RDSca) August 7, 2023
