Alex Galchenyuk makes his comeback

After being released from his professional trial with the Colorado Avalanche before the start of the season due to an unfortunate injury, Alex Galchenyuk is back in action.

The former third overall pick in 2012 has signed a contract with the Colorado Eagles, the Avalanche's feeder club. He is officially injury-free and ready to play.

At the time he ended Galchenyuk's professional trial, Avalanche president Joe Sakic hinted that Galchenyuk could return when he is healthy again.

He will need to regain his form in the AHL before he can make a potential return to the NHL. On the other hand, with all the injuries on the Avalanche, Galchenyuk could get a call-up quickly if he performs well there.
