He led that league in scoring, putting up 60 goals and 143 points in 64 games, and was considered one of the top prospects in his draft class. It took Foster a couple of seasons to get his feet wet in the NHL, but his first full season was quite good, notching 24 goals and 52 points. He would go on to play for <a href='https://major-league-sports.fandom.com/wiki/Colorado_Rockies_(NHL)' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>the Colorado Rockies</a>, did play four seasons with the Red Wings, and finally finished his career with the Bruins. Foster retired after the 1986-87 season, having tallied 274 points in 541 NHL games. Not only was he a legend on the ice, but he sure left his mark off the ice too.
