A well-established Boston sports journalist has revealed a hypothesis he's heard between the pipes.

Jimmy Murphy traces similarities between the Perry case and that of former Boston Celtics head coach Ime Udoka.

The NBA coach allegedly had an extramarital affair with a Celtics employee, in violation of the rules stipulated in his contract.

Doesn't mean this explains it with Perry, but according to @BOSHockeyNow's managing editor, there could be links :
