In the category of pleasant surprises last year, the emergence of Rafaël Harvey-Pinard was probably the best thing to happen to the Canadiens. The young forward arrived because of injuries, which was a pity, but he seized his chance brilliantly. RHP was used on the 4th line to start with, then quickly moved up the ranks, finishing with 14 goals and looking good wherever he was used. However, seeing him in the top 6 is a really good thing, he deserves it. Unfortunately for him, he'll still have to prove he belongs in the top 6 this year, when he's expected to start the season on the 4th trio.

There's no doubt that the team is healthy and that Rafaël is like a Swiss Army knife, he can play anywhere. He certainly won't complain about his lot and will accept whatever role Martin St-Louis assigns him. I'm not at all worried that the Quebecer will get his chance soon enough to move up the rankings.
