Florida Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov has received his punishment from the NHL.
Panthers Defenseman Suspended After Hit On Lightning Forward
The blueliner received a match penalty in his last game after a hit on Lightning forward Conor Sheary. The call not only gave the Lightning a major powerplay, but it also negated a Panthers goal that had occurred on the play.
Dmitry Kulikov gets a match penalty for an illegal check to the head AND Florida gets their goal waived off 😅
The Department of Player Safety responded yesterday, announcing that the Panther would have a hearing with them today.
Florida's Dmitry Kulikov will have a hearing tomorrow for an illegal check to the head on Tampa Bay's Conor Sheary.
The hearing resulted in a two game suspension.
