Today New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad spoke to the media and revealed his feelings on the major moves made by GM Chris Drury over the last month. Last night the New York Rangers and Chris Drury made another shocking move trading Kaapo Kakko to the Seattle Kraken. The move came after Kakko spoke out against the organization for benching him instead of other struggling players. The Kakko trade of course was just the latest big move made by Drury and the Rangers after earlier this month they traded their captain Jacob Trouba.

Both of these trades have made waves with the fans and the media who see the moves as a desperate General Manager trying to save his job for next season. Today we got an opportunity to hear from the players from the first time and Mika Zibanejad had an interesting perspective on the moves from his point of view.
Mika Zibanejad gives his honest opinion on the Rangers recent moves
During a new interview after practice today Zibanejad was asked about the trade involving Kakko and how it impacts the other players in the locker room. Zibanejad reveals that of course there is a lot of emotion surrounding the moves but at the same time the team has to keep moving forward regardless of the decisions made by management. Obviously, it's human beings that you have here, Zibanejad said, via lohud.com, We're not robots, so obviously you're going to have feelings and thoughts that go along with it. But at the same time, I don't think that's something that we get taught. We get taught to just keep doing what we're doing. Try to be professional and go about your about your business, and that's what we have to do. From these comments made by Zibanejad it seems like the Rangers locker room is shaken up in response to the drastic moves made by Chris Drury. It remains to be seen whether or not the Rangers can get themselves back on track and overcome this midseason adversity. If they cannot we could see the beginning of the end for the Rangers competitive window.
