After struggling to find a consistent role in the NHL, it appears as though Victor Soderstrom is reportedly headed to Europe.

Victor Soderstrom was selected No. 11 overall by the Arizona Coyotes back in the 2019 NHL Draft, but since that point he's struggled to catch on, playing just 53 games in the NHL. Now, he's a restricted free agent, and according to reports, Utah have yet to offer him a new contract, meaning that his future is up in the air.

Now, according to PHNX Sports reporter Craig Morgan, Soderstrom has switched representation, and that could lead to his departure from the NHL and a return to Europe.

"Also hearing that 2019 11th overall pick Victor Söderström has switched agencies: no longer repped by @QuartexxHockey.
Utah has been open to signing him but also exploring trades.
There is some thought that he may decide to stay/play in Europe." Morgan said.

The native of Sweden is still just 23-years of age and has been very productive in the AHL, tallying 32 points in 62 games a year ago, but without a clear path to the NHL, it makes sense that he would look to explore options elsewhere. The team are reportedly still exploring trade options, but at this point, all signs are pointing to the talented blue liner playing elsewhere in 2024/25.
