Is Brock Boeser going to be the latest major name to punch his ticket out of Vancouver? A Canucks Insider thinks that could be the grim possibility that awaits. It's already been a year of upheaval for the Vancouver Canucks, and there could still be more on the way. The Trade Deadline is now days away, and the Canucks are currently not in a postseason spot; while they're tied with the Calgary Flames in points, the Flames occupy the 2nd Wild Card spot in the Western Conference thanks to their additional regulation win. During Monday's edition of the Canucks podcast Donnie and Dhali Show, host Rick Dhaliwal speculated that there's little to no chance of the Canucks and Brock Boeser coming to an agreement in the next few days after being unable to do so over the last several months. They couldn't cut a deal in 8 months; how are they going to cut a deal in 5 days? It would be shocking to me if they cut a deal in 5 days....the two sides continue to talk. Boeser does want to return, he loves it in Vancouver, he doesn't want to go. Isn't it interesting that Quinn Hughes is up in two years and this guy wants to extend for 7, 8 years in Vancouver? Dhaliwal added that even if the Canucks do decide to trade Boeser, there may not be a mob of teams lining up to try and acquire him. The problem is only playoff teams want Boeser and most of them are tight up against the cap. Not many of those teams want to cough up a first-round pick for Boeser. The market for Boeser is not as big as some people think it is. They're not close. You either sign him, trade him, or keep him this week. All 3 options are available to the Canucks.

Additionally, analyst Darren Dreger reported earlier that the Canucks had made a contract offer to Boeser earlier in the year but that it was now off the table.
