The London, Ont. native has 45 points (10G, 35A) and 48 penalty minutes in 58 games, to guide London to an OHL-best 48-19-2 record. Julien was Winnipeg's fifth-round pick (146th overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft and had 78 points (29G, 49A) in 67 games for the Knights during the 2023-24 season.
Jullien won the OHL Championship as well as the Memorial Cup
He notched 18 points (9G, 9A) in the playoffs as the Knights won the OHL Championship and he also recorded three assists as London won the 2024 Memorial Cup. Julien has a total of 139 points (48G, 91A) in 165 career OHL games with the London Knights. Julien will now have a chance to go from the best team in the OHL to the top team in the NHL. That's a pretty remarkable feat for a player so young. Winnipeg enters play Thursday tied with the Washington Capitals with an NHL-best 88 points. All eyes will be on GM Kevin Cheveldayoff to see if he will be able to acquire any further top talent to help the team down the stretch drive.
