This season, Evgenii Dadonov was seen as dead wood in Montreal. There was no passion in his game and his future in the NHL really seemed to be coming to an end. The trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Dallas Stars, which took place on February 26, involved forward Evgenii Dadonov. While this deal looked promising at the time, it's clear that Stars general manager Jim Nill was better off in the long run. That being said, this trade did not do any significant damage to the CH, as Dadonov would not have thrived in Montreal and would likely have played his last game with the team anyway. However, it must be recognized that since February 26, Gurianov has been outplayed by Dadonov. Gurianov, being the player who was traded the other way. When Kent Hughes acquired Dadonov in exchange for Shea Weber's contract, we knew the Russian had talent, but we didn't see that with the Tricolore. However, he took his chance with the Stars, so he became an important player for the Texas team. <q>Dadonov has been fantastic since he's been with us.
