In breaking news, this long-time NHLer was forced to retire after not making the team he signed a PTO with during the offseason. <h2>Brandon Sutter Retires after 770 Career NHL Games</h2> Over the offseason, Brandon Sutter signed a PTO with the Edmonton Oilers as a last effort to try and extend his NHL career for one more season. Today, the Oilers released the veteran forward, and Sutter released the following statement announcing his retirement. <q>I'm grateful for the opportunity that Ken, Jay and the Oilers organization have provided to me the past few weeks.
