Obviously, after his tournament at the World Junior Championship, Connor Bedard's name is on everyone's lips in the hockey world. Whether it's among fans or NHL executives, his performances at the WJC leave absolutely no one indifferent. It's even reached the point where an NHL informant revealed that general managers would even be willing to change their plans to increase their chances of getting the first overall pick. While appearing on Tony Marinaro's podcast, colorful former Habs scout Grant McCagg revealed that he would be willing to make a monster offer to the team that gets the first pick, if he were the Habs. He would be willing to pay current Tricolore star Cole Caufield, in addition to the two first round picks the organization holds, to acquire Connor Bedard. That's a pretty big trade offer, but there's no doubt that Bedard would be worth at least that much. However, would it really benefit the Habs in the long run to pay that much for one player? Marinaro added his two cents by mentioning that the team that will hold the first overall pick will never trade him! Would you be willing to pay that much, if the trade was possible, to get Connor Bedard?
