Let's face it: as Montreal Canadiens fans, we are passionate. Emotional at times, depressive at others, we are never indifferent to what is going on with the Canadiens. It's been 29 years since the Stanley Cup was lifted by the CH and in Canada. For 29 years, we've experienced all kinds of emotions: joyful and sad, frustrating and unifying, but we've never had the chance to see our team rebuilt. It's about time. We wanted to be competitive every year, but at what cost? It's a high price to pay for 29 years without a cup. The reality is that the fans were ready to see the club sacrifice a few years to finally build on a solid foundation and we are there now. In the last few years, the enthusiasm for the Tricolore was gradually decreasing, so much so that the games at the Bell Centre were no longer presented to a full house. Now, we can say that the craze is coming back, not quite. Martin Lemay posted a very interesting statistic in response to one (or more) internet users who wondered why he talks about the CH so much. His answer is very revealing, as 27,000 people were watching a rookie game on Youtube, not counting the viewers on Twitter and Facebook.

It's a testament to the fans that they are ready and willing to support the organization's prospects.
