The only thing more enigmatic than Shane Wright currently in the Kraken fold is the team's management of his development. <div align='center' style='padding-top:20px;padding-bottom:20px;'><img src='https://i.marqueur.com/habsetlnh/i/photo/305983.webp' width='100%' border='0' alt='image' loading='lazy' defer /></div> <h2> Shane Wright's struggles </h2> Wright was left out of the NHL more often than not, loaned out to the AHL to get back into shape and finally sent back to junior far too late. It's as if he'd lost half a season, which is huge for an 18-year-old. Now aged 19, the Kraken has only two options for Wright with the coming season, either to play in the NHL or in junior, just like last year. In a twist of fate, however, the Kraken's GM Ron Francis is reportedly planning to apply for an exemption to play in the AHL. <h2> GM Ron Francis looking for an exemption </h2> At least, that's what NHL.com columnist Nicholas J. Cotsonika believes. The young man's goal is obviously to play in the NHL, but if he doesn't manage to carve out a place on the roster, an exemption would be historic. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/LNH_FR/status/1695143034088825129?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1695143034088825129%7Ctwgr%5Ee0b88855863e8fea22135e83d184a1aee23b8674%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.habsetlnh.com%2FUne-grosse-decision-sur-le-point-de-tomber-pour-avenir-de-Shane-Wright-et-ce-serait-historique-270499'> </a></blockquote></div> <a href='https://www.gonordiques.com/lnh/nouvelles/Delicat-le-Kraken-a-intention-den-passer-une-petite-vite-aux-autres-equipes-de-la-LNH-et-ca-concerne-Shane-Wright' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Credit: Go Nordiques</a>
