As you know, the Vegas Golden Knights won the Stanley Cup at home last night. Gary Bettman made sure to flatter the fans as he presented the trophy, saying loud and clear that this is a true hockey town. Inside T-Mobile Arena, the atmosphere was electric, but it was outside that the scene was unexpected.

The fans of the @GoldenKnights are passionate, they sing, they dance and they scream. They know their field hockey more than you think...but they didn't feast very hard on the Stanley Cup

As I left the building after the game, it was almost like the regular season pic.twitter.com/hWpOwylrKr- Luc Gelinas (@LucGelinasRDS) June 14, 2023
Hard to believe, but it was practically deserted outside the arena. If it had been a Canadian team that had won the Cup, the result would be very different, especially in Montreal.
