This off-season was one of the most wild in recent memory for the Edmonton Oilers, as they came within moments of the Stanley Cup before making some big moves early in free agency, adding veterans Jeff Skinner and Victor Arvidsson to the lineup. One move that they didn't see coming was dual offer sheets for Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway, and with the potential draft picks coming in return, the team opted to not match the deal and instead let the pair of promising young players become St. Louis Blues. If the Oilers had a little more money to work with, it's likely that they would have matched the offers, but with a Stanley Cup in mind for an organization that needs to work their cap magic to make any additions, letting them go made sense, so now we will wait and see whether either of them can live up to the hype.
