Today several sources close to the Vancouver Canucks have given worrying updates on extension talks between the team and star forward Brock Boeser. Earlier today the <a href='https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/canucks-agree-to-terms-with-kevin-lankinen-on-a-5-year-contract-extension' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Vancouver Canucks signed goaltender Kevin Lankinen to a multi-year extension.</a> With Lankinen locked up long-term, fan and insider focus has now shifted to other players on expiring contracts including forward Brock Boeser. Boeser is in the final season of a three year contract and would be an unrestricted free agent if he does not agree to an extension with the Canucks. To this point there had not been that much concern for Boeser's future in Vancouver as many were focused on the internal locker room drama.
