The Edmonton Oilers may have found their new GM in Jeff Jackson after an impressive showing over the last few weeks.

It was announced over a week ago that Ken Holland wouldn't be returning as GM of the Edmonton Oilers and president of Hockey Operations, Jeff Jackson would take over under the interim tag. Jackson, has been exceeding expectations of the fans so far, with the acquisitions of Matt Savoie and Jeff Skinner for practically Ryan McLeod. Fans are calling for him to stay as GM of the OIlers.

Skinner, Arvidsson, and Matt Savoie for nothing. Jeff Jackson might be top 5 GM in the league and he's been in the job for a month lmao

During the opening day of free agency, Oilers interim GM Jeff Jackson had himself a field day by landing some big names consisting of Viktor Arvidsson, Jeff Skinner, he also retained Mattias Janmark, Troy Stecher, Corey Perry and Connor Brown. He made the decision to buy out Jack Campbell. Jackson however has no interest in fulfilling the role as a GM, however with the recent love of the fans, things can change very quickly in that department.
