Just days after winning their first ever Stanley Cup, the Florida Panthers had it stripped away.

After waiting 3 decades, the Florida Panthers and their fans finally got to celebrate winning the Stanley Cup. It wasn't easy, but all of the hard work finally paid off in the end. Unfortunately for the Panthers, the Cup was quickly taken away from them just hours after they began partying with it.

THE MOMENT WE BECAME STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS

The reason for the swift departure of the Cup from their hands was due to the fact that it needed to be taken some thousands of miles away to Montreal, a city that has not won a Cup of their own in over 30 years, in order to have the players names etched into the silverware.

Stanley Cup is in Montreal... in the studio of Louise St. Jacques, who since 1989 has been responsible for adding team, player & staff members' names to the priceless trophy. This week, she will add 2023-24 champion @FlaPanthers to hockey's grandest prize

The Panthers partied hard with the Cup prior to it being taken away, where it faced its fair share of bumps and dents. Fortunately for the players, they will get it back shortly, all polished up and with their names engraved in it for decades to come.
