The St. Louis Blues have had a relatively quiet summer, and now with training camp approaching, they've made two massive moves for Edmonton Oilers players. After weeks of no movement on the future of both Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway in Edmonton, the St. Louis Blues have now swooped in and offer sheeted both rising Edmonton Oilers stars, just moments after securing a surprising trade with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

With neither Philip Broberg or Dylan Holloway consistently producing at the NHL level, it's clear that the Blues are banking on their potential playing out, and given the deals offered to both, it may be hard to see either of them turning it down. Offer sheet terms from the Blues: Dylan Holloway, two years at $2,290,457 cap hit. Philip Broberg, two years at $4,580,917 cap hit.

At almost $4.6 million AAV, there's very little hope for Oilers fans that the team will match the Philip Broberg offer, and given the Blues potential offer of playing time along with a $2.29 million salary over two years, there's a great chance that Holloway takes them up on that too. Now, the Oilers officially have seven days to match, but given their current salary cap squeeze, it's safe to assume that there's a good chance they simply let both walk, but for now we will see how things pan out.
