Disgruntled goaltender now in trade rumor talk linked to another Western Conference team

The Nashville Predators goaltender Yaroslav Askarov made it very obvious he wants out of Nashville and now another team has their eye on him.

When the Predators drafted Askarov in the first round of the 2020 NHL draft, 11th overall, there was very high hopes in this goaltender to become an elite prospect. Now that Askarov make it very public that he was not happy and wanted a trade, rumors have begun as to where he might go.

According to NHL Trade Rumors, there is one specific team who might be looking at Askarov as an option even though he has only played in less than a handful of NHL games.

Now that Nashville has a new concern with Askarov's public statement, it seems they will need to think about what price tag they should put on this inexperienced but talented goalie. He is their number 1 prospect amongst goalies, so the price for his services should warrant that. With that being said, they may also want to remove a disgruntled player for less than his worth.

If there is one team that could make a deal work out, it would be the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks are an overall young team, with a lot of upsides in years to come with many prospects that may not even get to the NHL as of yet for a while.

The Predators are going to definitely want future options for Askarov, which it now seems that since his public outing of his displeasure in Nashville, will most likely be on the move.
