Lou Lamoriello reveals his NHL future in a surprising press conference

After another first-round exit for the New York Islanders against the Carolina Hurricanes, many fans were hoping for a change in the organization. Today much to the disappointment of fans Islanders GM Lou Lamoriello laid out the direction of the team for the future.

Today New York Islanders GM Lou Lamoriello spoke during his end of season press conference. During his time at the podium Lou Lamoriello confirmed he would be returning along with head coach Patrick Roy.





With the decision makers in place for the Islanders going forward the organization has a lot of tough decisions to now make. The Islanders have 12 players who played in an NHL role for them and are scheduled to be free agents.



With the New York Islanders' lack of success in the playoffs in recent years there likely will be changes. If Lou Lamoriello and the Islanders make the wrong changes his time in New York could come to an end.

The Islanders expect to be in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and winning if that does not happen look for a new man in charge come the end of next season.
