One of the biggest superfans of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Kurtis from Alberta is being sued by his sponsor and is being forced to terminate all of his content. Yes, you have likely heard of the famous Dart Guy who made his appearance during a Leafs playoff run a few years ago. Well, there is another superfan out there, too. You've undoubtedly heard of one named Kurtis from Alberta if you follow hockey on social media. Most Maple Leafs fans would love that he is a dedicated Maple Leafs fan who enjoys game days at home in his basement. His dedication, passion, and, of course, his love of beer, which he consumed in most of his films, to the point where he had his own made, are some of the primary factors that draw those individuals to his work.

Even though most people believe that this is a great advertisement for the Maple Leafs and a fan that most people can relate to, we may no longer be watching his content due to a lawsuit filed by one of the team's biggest sponsors. Kurtis disclosed in his video that he is receiving a cease and desist order to stop wearing Maple Leafs apparel because he consumes beer that isn't produced by the team, even though he didn't specifically specify the brand. The fact that most people were as shocked as Kurtis seemed to be too should not be surprising. Despite the team's likely legal actions, the risk of legal action is likely too big for anybody to stop them, and Kurtis ultimately appears to be cooperating. Fans of the Maple Leafs are really disappointed because this is one of the most well-known and loyal NHL fans, and it is absurd that he is spending time at his own house and may be sued for it. This appears to be a sponsor going a little too far and ruining any goodwill the team might still have. Kurtis from Alberta is very passionate about the Maple Leafs on social media, so maybe this can be resolved somehow so he can continue to do so.
