The Toronto Maple Leafs' Stanley Cup playoff woes continued with another heartbreaking Game 7 loss to the Boston Bruins at TD Garden, marking their seventh first-round exit in the last eight seasons.

Despite almost overcoming a 3-1 series deficit, the Leafs fell short in a 2-1 overtime loss in the decisive game. Their Achilles' heel throughout the series? Goaltending.
In an interview on Leafs Morning Take with Nick Alberga and Carter Hutton, Bruins' goalie Linus Ullmark shared his thoughts on the series, especially the Leafs' goalie decisions. Ullmark admitted surprise at Toronto's choice to stick with Ilya Samsonov as their starter.

Samsonov started Games 1 through 3 and part of Game 4, but was pulled after allowing three goals on 17 shots. He returned for Game 7 due to Woll's injury, stopping 30 of 32 shots.
Ullmark, who faced a similar situation, played Game 2 and made 30 saves in a 3-2 Leafs win before being sidelined by Jeremy Swayman's stellar play as Boston rode the hot hand. On a positive note, the goaltender praised Woll, who appears poised for a breakout if he can maintain his health.

"He looks like a really good goaltender..."
