An incredible playmaker and square scorer with a power play and penalty kill role, consistent 80+ point seasons and 100-point upside, he puts in consistent hard work. Toronto's 'core four', Auston Matthews, William Nylander, John Tavares, and Marner, <a href='https://www.hockeylatest.com/nhl-team/toronto-maple-leafs/maple-leafs-core-four-on-the-verge-of-breakup-says-elliotte-friedman' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>can break apart at any moment,</a> and in particular, especially if there is a lack of a deep playoff run for another year.
