The Winnipeg Jets continue to sit in first place in the Western Conference and will be looking to add at the NHL Trade Deadline as they go all in for a Stanley Cup. Going into the trade deadline the Jets do not have a clear need on their roster and are well-rounded at each position. Despite not having an obvious need the Jets are expected to make a big splash at the deadline and new reports have linked them to a potential deal with the Boston Bruins.
Insider Emily Kaplan Reveals The Bruins Could Be Looking To Sell At The Deadline
In a new segment on ESPN insider Emily Kaplan confirmed that the Boston Bruins will be taking calls on several players including Trent Frederic, Morgan Geekie, and Brandon Carlo.

With all of these players on the trade block The Hockey News believes that in particular Geekie could be a good fit for the Winnipeg Jets at the deadline.
Reporter Links The Winnipeg Jets To Bruins Center Morgan Geekie
In a new editorial for The Hockey News reporter Michael Derosa has brought up the possibility of Kevin Cheveldayoff and the Winnipeg Jets taking a shot at landing Geekie. According to Derosa Geekie would be a strong upgrade and would be a hometown hero growing up in nearby Strathclair, Manitoba. Geekie could be a strong addition to the Winnipeg Jets' lineup. When looking at their current group, it is rather clear that they could use help down the middle, and the Strathclair, Manitoba native could grab their eye because of it. During his career Geekie has been a solid third line center particularly in his time with the Bruins. He brings size and dependability to to the lineup and could be a good low cost option for the Jets to add depth going into the stretch run of the season and the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It remains to be seen whether this is a big enough move in the eyes of Cheveldayoff and the Jets or whether they would rather save the assets and take a shot at a bigger name. As reports continue to surface on the Jets trade deadline plans we will pass along the latest news to you.
