The Canadiens won 3-2 on Saturday night at the Bell Centre. The Blackhawks made a late surge to keep the Canadiens in the game. What stands out about this game is not so much the highlights, but more the injury to Kirby Dach. He is a key player and the center of the 2nd trio, the most visible on the ice in Toronto. Should his absence be prolonged, the team will have some decisions to make. Michael Pezzetta is waiting patiently in the stands, but is he really a player who can help the team in Dach's absence? According to Marc-Olivier Beaudoin, the CH should recall Joshua Roy. With four points in two games so far this season, the Quebecer is on a mission and has every intention of doing nothing but passing through the AHL. The other option would be to add Pezzetta to the 4th line and move Rafaël Harvey-Pinard up the trio, but then again, the option of recalling Roy is very tempting. Alex Newhook should end up at center for the next duel if Dach misses, so Roy could play on the top 9. It would be great to have him in an offensive role in his NHL debut!
