A 19-year-old prospect for the Chicago Blackhawks had a brutal collision with the boards that left him screaming in pain.

Savoie Crashes Into The Boards Left Screaming In Pain

The Minnesota Wild faced off against the Chicago Blackhawks tonight in preseason hockey and the one thing nobody wants to see in a hockey game happened; an injury so severe a player needed to be stretchered off the ice.

Samuel Savoie, a 19-year-old prospect for the Blackhawks drafted in the third round of the 2022 draft, slipped right before hitting the boards resulting in an injury where he had to be stretchered off.

CONTENT WARNING

Oh man, this does not look good for Sam Savoie. He was screaming in pain and is now being stretchered off the ice. #Blackhawks

Even after this injury, Savoie was able to give the thumbs-up to everybody letting them know he was alright and was going to make it out.

Sam Savoie gives a thumbs up as he's being stretchered off the ice, but head coach Luke Richardson looks a little shaken as he takes a deep breath. Tough scene. #Blackhawks

We wish Samuel all the best on his road to recovery and hope to see him suit up for the Blackhawks in the future.
