Tonight new news has been released regarding the eventual trial over the 2018 Canadian World Junior scandal. The new update has provided news that one player has had an extra charge tacked on compared to his co-defendants.

One Player Given Extra Charge In 2018 WJC Scandal Case

A report that has been going around social media has confirmed that each of the five players accused of wrongdoing in the 2018 Canadian World Juniors case has been charged. Each player is facing one charge that is the same across the board while Michael McLeod is facing an extra charge.

The extra charge that McLeod is facing is referred to as "being a part to the offence". The charge essentially accuses McLeod of being in attendance where the alleged crimes took place but does not mean he participated in them. This could be a charge to put on McLeod if he cannot be convicted of the larger crime.

These charges will all be confirmed and likely clarified when the London Police Department speaks on February 5th. If this information changes or is updated with that press conference we will provide an update to you all.
