Following a loss in an inter-squad scrimmage last Sunday Connor Bedard was reportedly not thrilled about it. <h2>Bedard Has A Ton Of Passion For Hockey</h2> Teams that are built from the players that want to win the most are usually the ones that find the most success. One indicator of how competitive players are would be how they handle training camp scrimmages. Typically, these events are primarily for the coaching staff to evaluate players and make cuts to the camp roster. Sometimes though, you can learn more about your players. That was the case last Sunday when Bedard lost one of these games. Teammate Nick Foligno had this to say about the young star. <q>Connor was extremely upset he lost today, which I love. He wants to be mentioned in the (Crosby) category, and I think from watching him in the first few days of camp, he's got the game to do it.</q> High praise from one first overall pick to another. <h2>Bedard's Compete Level Makes Him Special</h2> Many of the world's best players are driven by incredibly high competitiveness. Nathan Mackinnon is a famous example of this. These kinds of players are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to win in the world's best hockey league. Bedard appears to have that fire in him as well. Not only is his competitiveness seemingly very high, but his work ethic is right up there as well.
