The NHL has been trying to stop NHL players from just being lazy on the ice for the challenge night of the all-star game but Nikita Kucherov took being lazy to a whole new level.

As he was faced with backlash from the crowd as he was booed for not trying in the skills component of the All-Star games.

Players have often said out right that they will not attend the event and have asked their own teams to make sure they do not attend the event to save themselves from being ridiculed.

However every other player that went did put effort in to at least try in the event.

There is a couple names out there that may be considered to take home this trophy including the other two front runners: Nathan MacKinnon (COL) and Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) who are both having amazing years for their respective teams.

MacKinnon leading a Colorado Avalanche team that has taken a step back compared to years prior and Hellebuyck who is leading one of the top teams in the NHL with his phenomenal goaltending.

It is unsure if the NHL would actually do this or not but may be what needs to happen to stop players from not trying in these games.
