After Rasmus Andersson laid a dirty hit on Blue Jackets' star Patrik Laine, he was promptly suspended for his actions. Now, he and the Flames are looking to reduce the punishment.

Andersson Lays Dirty Hit in the Dying Seconds of Game

NHL Player Safety was quick to make a determination on the hit, promptly suspending Andersson for 4 games for his actions.
"Calgary's Rasmus Andersson has been suspended for four games for charging Columbus' Patrik Laine."

Flames and Andersson Now Looking to Appeal the Suspension

Now, it has been reported by Sportsnet Analyst Eric Francis that the Flames disagree with the punishment, and are appealing the decision.
Source says the Calgary Flames are planning to appeal the four-game suspension handed to Rasmus Andersson today for his hit on Patrik Laine.

If they go ahead with the appeal, the NHL PA will review the case again before it goes to the NHL. They could choose to keep the suspension at 4 games or reduce it. As of right now, Andersson is set to miss 4 games, including the heritage classic game against the Oilers.
