The NHL is full of young stars at this point, but. there's still plenty of room for some veteran names, and one 700-game veteran is hoping he can make his return in 2023-24.

A first-round pick

According to a report from Edmonton Oilers Insider Jim Matheson, former Buffalo Sabres first-round pick Tyler Ennis could be on the way back to the NHL.

The Edmonton native spent the last year of his career in Switzerland, but now, the 33-year old has hit the ice in North America again, reportedly seeking a PTO ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Tyler Ennis was at Perry Pearn's 3on3 camp and hearing he might get PTO, maybe from Western based team. Still has irons in fire back in Switzerland where he played last season.

Plenty of experience

In 700 games between Buffalo, Ottawa, Toronto, Minnesota and Edmonton, the veteran forward tallied 144 goals and 346 points, and after a solid 33 points in 37 games in Switzerland a season ago, it's clear he can still contribute.

With teams like the Oilers, Flames, Canucks and others in the West potentially looking for veteran help, he could be the perfect person to take a flier on as we head into training camp.
