Custom Mask for Fleury
In anticipation of the Minnesota Wild's Native American Heritage Night, Marc-Andre Fleury had a custom mask designed by an artist named Cole Redhorse Taylor. Fleury had this mask commissioned for his wife who is Native American. He was informed by the league that he will be unable to wear the mask in warmups according to a tweet from Michael Russo. Fleury was understandably upset with the decision.

Repeat Occurrence
This isn't the first time that NHL has prevented players from displaying things of this nature on their equipment. Earlier in November, Vegas Golden Knight Logan Thompson was not allowed to put a cancer ribbon on his mask. Ironically enough, this occurred during the NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer' month. Players and organizations are beginning to become disgruntled with the NHL's inconsistencies with the rulings on things of this matter.
