In a recent Swiss National League game, a concerning incident occurred involving former NHL players Martin Frk of the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and Lawrence Pilut of Lausanne HC, evoking memories of the tragic event involving Adam Johnson.

Dangerous On-Ice Incident: Player's Skate Blade Near Opponent's Neck

The altercation started when Frk tried to hit Pilut near the bench. Pilut managed to avoid the hit, resulting in Frk crashing headfirst into his own bench. In the heat of the moment, Pilut continued to push Frk, which led to Frk reacting by kicking out his legs. In a particularly alarming moment, one of Frk's skate blades came dangerously close to Pilut's neck area, though, fortunately, it did not result in any injury.

Here's how it happened:

Frk was promptly ejected from the game for his actions. Given the nature of the incident, additional penalties from the league seem imminent.

Thankfully, Pilut was not injured by the skate blade, but the close call to his neck and chest area was certainly alarming. The hockey community is now awaiting an official response from the league on the potential suspension and further disciplinary measures for Frk's dangerous conduct.
