When we think of Saku Koivu, many beautiful memories come to mind. Whether it's his return from cancer, his performances on the ice or the longest serving captain in team history, there are few occasions to say anything negative about his time with the Habs. The new captain, Nick Suzuki, could be the one to break his record for longevity as a club leader. It all depends on how long he stays with the team. One thing is certain, Suzuki accomplished something on Monday night that we haven't seen with the Tricolore since Koivu's first years. Indeed, the number 14 became the first player 23 years old or younger since Saku in 1998 to reach the 50-point mark in two consecutive seasons.

It's a great accomplishment, to be sure, but it's also very indicative of the youth's failures with the team over the past 25+ years. Let's hope we don't have to wait another 25 years to see the next young player achieve a similar feat.
