In recent weeks, the NHL has faced numerous controversies surrounding its heavily contested Pride Nights. P.K Subban has now expressed his opinion on this contentious topic.

Subban has chosen to express his personal stance on the issue of Pride Nights and players opting out of wearing the corresponding warm-up jerseys. Subban's statement on the matter goes as follows:

"We cannot push everyone to be an activist, we need to be very careful, I feel people pick and choose what they want to talk about and I don't like it when we put the onus on athletes to be activists."

"They don't need to be activists."

"I'm not saying it is right or wrong to wear the (Pride) jersey, we have just got to be very careful how we push players to do things."

"You can support the LGBTQ community without having to wear a hat, a t-shirt or a jersey."

The matter at hand is undoubtedly a controversial one, and Subban's perspective is viewed as unpopular by a significant number of people. As one of the prominent figures in the sport, he is among the first to openly endorse the players who choose not to wear the jerseys.
