The Montreal Canadiens have just added a Quebec goalie to their organization

The Montreal Canadiens have just announced that they have added a goalie to their organization today.

The goalie is Francis Marotte. He will join the Trois-Rivières Lions. They are the ones who traded to get him.

In 35 games in the ECHL, Marotte has maintained a 14-12-5 record. In his career, the 27-year-old netminder has also played 10 games in the AHL in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022.

Cayden Primeau's injury had a direct impact on the Lions. The recall of prospect Joe Vrbetic to the Rocket to fill Primeau's absence hurts his ECHL club-school. It's also worth remembering that the Lions released goalie Thomas Siguoin earlier this week as well.
