Time to make a controversial decision with the Habs?

A debate has been raging in the Canadiens environment for the past few days.

While the Laval Rocket are in the midst of a thrilling playoff race, with very big games being played every game for the past few weeks, they currently have a spot in the big postseason dance. However, they must not let up one bit.

Jean-Francois Houle's team now has a three point lead in the fifth and final playoff spot in the North Division, but with more games played than their nearest challengers.

With only five games left in the season, the Rocket will need to win as many as possible to ensure they stay ahead of Belleville and Cleveland.

Related to this, after already setting the stage at the trade deadline by trading forwards Rafael Harvey-Pinard and Jesse Ylonen to the AHL, they can be returned to the club-school at any time.

Are we there yet in the Habs organization?

Following the Tricolore's recent unconvincing performances, combined with the fact that the Rocket is giving everything to make the playoffs, the time seems better than ever to make a big decision.

With only five games left in the CH season as well, why not trade Ylonen or Harvey-Pinard to the Rocket?

There are two problems right now for Kent Hughes with such a decision, the lack of personnel due to the many injuries, and the public opinion of a move that could cause controversy among fans.

In my humble opinion, I believe that it would only be a minority of fans who could show their displeasure, because the real ones know that very important games are currently played by the Rocket, and it is excellent for the development of young players in the organization.

The main problem is the lack of replacements in the Habs to fill the positions left vacant by the two players.

However, the club could do without one of the two for now, and hope to not lose any other soldiers until Kirby Dach returns, which could potentially be within the next two games of the Habs.

If you were Kent Hughes, would you trade Ylonen and/or Harvey-Pinard to the Laval Rocket before the end of the season?

The Rocket players believe in the playoffs, and he deserves help for the end of the regular schedule.
