Now this evening as a result of that hearing Zegras has been handed a major suspension from the NHL
Trevor Zegras Receives A Multi-Game Suspension For Hit On Michael Rasmussen
According to multiple sources, Zegras will serve a three-game suspension for the hit on Rasmussen.

Despite not having a history of suspensions Zegras has received a hefty punishment from Gary Bettman and the NHL. Now the Anaheim Ducks will have to find a plan to survive without Zegras for the next several games. Zegras before the suspension has been having a down year with just 16 points in 34 games. From being considered a top prospect and future star of the game, Zegras's career has continued to go downhill. He seems to need a major change of some kind to get his career back on track. It remains to be seen whether Zegras will appeal this suspension but seems unlikely as the Ducks are far out of a playoff spot and challenging the suspension is likely not worth the time and energy for Zegras or the Ducks.
