In hockey, Evander Kane is known for his aggressive approach to the sport, leading many to anticipate his firm backing of Morgan Rielly's cross-check against Ridly Greig.

Contrary to some expectations, while Kane did express support, his viewpoint diverged significantly from that of Ryan Reaves. Reaves took issue with Ridly Greig's slap shot as being a sign of disrespect, whereas Kane saw the humor in the situation.

Evander Kane Shares His Thoughts on the Ridly Greig Incident

This incident has been the focal point of discussions across the hockey community this week, climaxing in a five-game suspension for Morgan Rielly. Among the myriad of voices, Evander Kane's perspective stands out for its unique stance of backing both the initial slap shot and the ensuing reaction:

The Slapshot [Smirks]. You know I don't have any issues with it, I think it's Great. But at the same time, as alot of people would say; the Reilly Response was Appropriate. I am sure he wasn't trying to cross-check the guy in the Head. You know sometimes alot of these cross-checks ride up the shoulder, and end up hitting guys in the head, you know, l've had that happen to me (before in the past).'

'You know, I think, it's Entertaining (Entertainment). I think it's Good for the Game. You know, if I'm Toronto I don't Love it, and I am probably going to respond the same way. Either way, it's Entertaining!

In light of Kane's comments, it prompts the question: Does Kane's perspective tell the whole story, or did the actions of one player go 'too far' more than the other?
