The NHL world is full of personalities giving hot takes to get attention, but former NHLer Paul Bissonnette may have given one of the most outrageous takes in recent memory.
Biz makes crazy statement about the toughness of the Maple Leafs
On the latest episode of the Spittin Chiclets Podcast, the question came up about which team in the Eastern Conference is tougher, the Toronto Maple Leafs or the Florida Panthers.
Given that the Panthers have proven it over the past few years, that's the obvious answer, but former NHLer Paul Bissonnette disagreed, giving a crazy take.
Are the Leafs a tougher team than the Panthers?? 💪🤔
Biz pointed out the physicality of Ryan Reaves and Tyler Bertuzzi as reasons why Toronto are the tougher team, but after the Panthers tore them apart in the playoffs a season ago, most people would agree to disagree with him here.
His co-hosts were certainly against his take here too, and while there's more to the NHL than toughness, if these two teams meet in the playoffs and it comes down to that, most people around the NHL, even Toronto fans on social media would pick Florida.
