Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller remains separated from the team and now several new theories have been provided about what is potentially going on. J.T. Miller last played for the Vancouver Canucks on November 17th when the team announced that he would then be stepping away from the game of hockey for personal reasons.

After this announcement, many fans around the NHL expected an update either from the team or J.T. Miller himself to clarify what has been going on. We are now almost a month past J.T. Miller's departure and still no update has been given by either the team, J.T. Miller, or even NHL insiders. With the lack of reports over the last month speculation has begun to build up and now a couple of sources have put together some rumblings that could be part of why J.T. Miller is still away from the team. One potential scenario that has come to light from the Cam & Strick Podcast is that there was tension between Rick Tocchet and J.T. Miller leading the team to ask him to step away.

The second theory was discussed on the Spittin' Chiclets Podcast hosted by Paul Bissonnette and Ryan Whitney. According to their sources, there is potential friction between J.T. Miller and Canucks superstar Elias Pettersson which led J.T. Miller to leave the team.

Currently, these are just theories from sources with connections inside NHL locker rooms. If these things end up being true, it seems like J.T. Miller's time in Vancouver has ended, and a trade to a new home is likely the outcome. We continue to wish J.T. Miller all the best as he finds his way back to the NHL and enjoying the game of hockey whether that be with the Vancouver Canucks or in a new home.
