Ryan Whitney is under fire for his recent post that included a terrible image of two cartoon bears, and now fans are calling him out for his actions. There is no question that hockey culture has been under the limelight over the past few years, as terrible actions have come to light regarding NHL players. While there is a lot of positive change occurring at all levels, some jokes make that change look bad. This is what some fans are calling out regarding Ryan Whitney's recent post on social media, depicting two cartoon bears in a vulgar and criminal act. The post, which remains up on Whitney's social media, came after the Toronto Maple Leafs lost to the Boston Bruins. Leafs fans I feel for you guys. This ain't right.

Fans took to the quotes to rip apart Whitney, saying that hockey culture is not in a place where these types of jokes can be made if that is even possible considering they likely do more harm than good. Just when you thought hockey culture couldn't get any worse, Ryan Whitney is here to remind us how comparable being forcefully r***d is to losing a hockey game.

It seems pretty ubiquitous that fans did not like the joke, however, that has not led to any change from Whitney. It remains to be seen if he will apologize for the post and take it down, or try and defend it.
