A 21-year-old goaltender was playing in a tournament yesterday and collapsed during the game, later passes away. This story was circulating around social media yesterday and it is confirmed that 21-year-old Zachary Bourassa died while playing in a tournament in Trois-Rivières. <div align='center'><blockquote class='twitter-tweet' data-lang='en'><a href='https://twitter.com/hockeynewschn/status/1833186338998235496'> </a></blockquote></div> Bourassa was a talented and passionate Dekhockey player and while he was playing in the tournament's finals, tragedy struck. As reported by Marco Normandin (HABSolumentFan), here are some of the accounts of what happened. At the very beginning of the game, Bourassa started to not feel well and called for assistance. As the official made their way to him, he collapsed into their arms. Normandin stated this information was reported to Radio Canada's Kassandra Lebel by the family. There were many people who attempted to help the young goalie, including a nurse and respiratory therapist who both helped in performing chest compressions to save Zachary's life. Unfortunately, even with the quick response, they were unable to save him. A witness at the scene told the report this after seeing what transpired. <q>Sometimes, we hear stories where a death could have been avoided if certain actions had been taken earlier. This was the complete opposite. If he could have been saved, he would have been. The people present acted like true heroes.</q> Zachary had just celebrated his 21st birthday. Another witness there told reporters that there were no signs of any issues with the goalie. Deepest condolences to Zach's family, teammates and loved ones during this difficult time.
